Deerfield Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Deerfield Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I have been a patient at this practice for over 8 years, dating back to when it was owned by Dr. Ortlieb and Dr. Rivera. It used to be an excellent dental office, but since Sage Dental took over, the experience has steadily gone downhill. Since the transition, I’ve repeatedly encountered billing issues, recommendations for costly deep cleanings and other services that I felt were unnecessary, and an overall decline in the quality of care and customer service. My appointment today was the final straw. I had an 8:00 a.m. cleaning scheduled, followed by an exam with the dentist. After my cleaning, the hygienist brought me straight to the front desk to check out without mentioning the exam. While checking out, I asked when I was supposed to see the dentist, and the receptionist realized I had been overlooked. Fortunately, I had time to wait for the exam and X-rays, but I can’t imagine how many patients would have simply left without receiving the care they were scheduled for. After more than eight years as a patient, this experience convinced me it’s time to find a new dentist. I would encourage anyone considering this practice to do their research before scheduling an appointment.

Like many people, I read the reviews before making my appointment, including some of the negative ones. I’m glad I made my own decision. My experience was excellent from start to finish. They saw me right on time, the staff was friendly and professional, and the entire visit was quick, efficient, and well organized. As a first-time patient, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I would definitely recommend them.

Wonderful experience, the office manager Drika helped me wonderfully throughout the payment experience. The nurses were incredibly sweet and kind. The doctor mancuso did me the huge favor of staying late to do my extraction. Im very appreciative of everyone here.

This has to be one of the most poorly run and predatory dental practices in America. For context, I've been visiting this location since before Dr. Ortlieb retired and sold the practice to Sage Dental. Even before the official handover, I had an issue where I was mysteriously charged by Sage Dental in Ft. Lauderdale. Still, Dr. Rivera hung around and the hygienists were the same. One by one they all left. The hygienists were replaced by a revolving door of inexperienced neophytes who had no business working on people's teeth. The predatory practices started almost immediately after Sage took over. They try to upsell you on procedures you don't need, or treatments that are not covered by your dental insurance. My last appointment was in December, the hygienist was mostly satisfactory and my next appointment was today. Well, today was the last straw. While sitting in a packed waiting room, 15 minutes past the 2pm appointment I was scheduled for, I watched as the office staff brought an iPad to elderly man who's wife was receiving treatment. They explained the bill would be over $1,000 but if he enrolled in "Sage Care+" he'd receive a discount. I guarantee this is going to

This was once the best practice around. Ortlieb and Rivera had the best hygienists and office staff you could ask for. But since the sale to Sage this place has fallen off a cliff. They call and text you non stop leading up to an appointment, they do whatever it takes to upcharge you during a routine cleaning. β€˜Deep clean’ bs. Oral rinses. They’re nothing more than a cash grab business now. I was a patient for over 20 years with Dr. Rivera. But the total incompetence of the office staff has made this place impossible to deal with. I’ve had multiple appointments cancelled with little to no notice like this past Friday. 3/6/26. Thankfully they made my decision to go elsewhere much easier.
